"Disappearance",
performance. V.
Ауzenberg and B.
Mamonov,
KUKart Festival, Tsarskoe Selo, 2000.
 
 This
performance is a program one for the ESCAPE. In the course of this
performance the artists V. Ayzenberg and B. Mamonov were disappearing
each time when someone attempted to have a communication with them.
But at the same time they were in the midst of festival events and
were inseparable with the crowd of people, as though varnishing
in the surrounding reality. During this performance, based on the
denial of contacts, the members of the program tried to overcome
false communication of the bomond toss and to instigate closer communication
among the other participants of the festival.
Apart from this, the " Disappearance " performance has
become an illustration of resistance to domestication and engagement.
